Booster Update –

The CLHS booster organization has been very busy!
The apple sale was a grand success netting over $2,500! Thank you so very much for all who participated! A particular thank you to the Rosa Family Orchard for sponsoring this event.

The Christmas Float was in the Jefferson City parade and is ready and waiting for the Holt Summit Christmas parade! The JC parade was Saturday Dec. 1 and rumor has it that CLHS placed first! The HS parade is Saturday, December 8. To walk with the float and help get it to the HS parade contact Cole or Landon Oxley (Landon’s number is 573-694-0335 – call or text). The float is beautiful as usual thanks to the Oxley family and many others! We appreciate all you have done to prepare for these two important events. It such an important opportunity to recognize Calvary at community events and spread the word of God’s blessings to us all!

A chili supper will be on the menu for the concession stand this Friday at the December 7th basketball games! You will notice an expanded concessions menu that will include items for an evening meal! We will begin serving Chili, chili dogs, nachos supreme and desserts at 5:00 at TRINITY and dining tables will be available. This is a one-time event and an opportunity to raise additional funds for booster activities. Come early, have dinner with friends and enjoy some fellowship time while enjoying the extended menu for this particular evening!

If anyone would like to help by donating desserts, chili or other needed items for this event, please contact one of your booster officers. Their contact information is below. Or you can just bring your donated items to the concession stand before 5 pm. Thank you!

Concessions work schedule is out! You will find it on the website under current families tab and concession work list. Please look for it and be sure to note the time and location that your family is being asked to work. If you cannot work at that time, please find someone to trade times with. It is important that we be considerate of others and make sure your time is covered. Thank you!

The CLHS Basketball Tournament is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for January 3rd, 4th and 5th! We will be hosting several teams and a well manned concession stand is vital so again, please check the work schedule and trade if you are unable to work your shift. ALSO, we appreciate our sponsors and LOVE to have new ones. If anyone is interested in an advertisement for your or any business in the tournament program, please contact Kevin or Tricia Dusheke as soon as possible. A Semester Booster Meeting will be held at 5:30 pm on January 14 at CLHS. Please mark your calendars! At the meeting we will be reporting on fall activities, the tournament, hearing committee reports and preparing for upcoming events. We look forward to seeing every CLHS family represented at this meeting!

Cook books are still available! They make great Christmas gifts and are a great selection of over 1,000 recipes! You can pick up a copy at the CLHS office or by contacting any board member.

The focus of the CLHS Booster Association is to provide Christ centered support for current and future betterment of Calvary Lutheran High School. In cooperation with school administrators, the CLHS Booster Association will provide input, vision, and leadership for opportunities connected with the school. Input and involvement may include, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Support of programs (academic, athletic, intra and extra curricular)
  • Recognition of student and staff achievement
  • Recruitment
  • Fundraising
  • Public relations efforts
  • School climate and social activities
