Calvary Lutheran High Strategic Planning Update
Approximately 30 people assisted architect Greg Beste from Church Development Partners in developing basic parameters for site and building development. Results of the first three meetings suggest the following.
CLHS needs to be focused on an ultimate 400 student enrollment with a built-in flexibility for future adjustment of this number. Concern was evident relative to the potential issue of planning for too small a school and becoming land-locked at some time in the future.
Phasing was discussed, with Phase I focusing on what could accommodate about 200 students. Phase II should accommodate approximately 400 students.
Generalizations of Phase I needs suggest approximately 30,000 sq. ft including ten classrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, administrative area, and entry area. Outdoor athletic areas are to begin with at least one soccer-size practice field.
Church Development Partners will continue with the “due diligence” evaluation of the site, development of a more refined plan of Phase I facilities, and proposing a location of the facilities on the site. A presentation of these developments is planned for April 24, 2006. All interested parties are invited to attend this meeting from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Trinity Fellowship Hall #2.
