Calvary Lutheran Public Relations Committee

Posted on November 14, 2006 @ 10:36 am - Filed under: Calvary News

A small group of volunteers have recently reformed the Calvary Lutheran Public Relations Committee. The mission is to search out ways to familarize the Calvary Lutheran name to the community. We are looking for interested persons who would want to devote some time to this project. This group is a division of the Associated Board of Directors of Calvary. We want all local communities to learn about the great school we have in progress. We want to project the fact that we are a Christ-centered school not just for Lutherans. Our curriculum offers challenging classes for all high school students. We need persons that will share positive aspects of Calvary. If you or if you know someone that would be willing to serve, or if you have an idea for getting the word out about Calvary, please call the school at 681-5491 or email Mr. Ahlers at principal@calvarylhs.org. Leave your name and phone number and one of the members will get intouch with you.

Reaching Out

Once again the students and their families are reaching out. An uncle of one of the students, lost all their belongings in a house fire last week. This family lives in Bolivar, MO, and the students are doing a Food, Clothing, and Necessities Drive until November 21. Anyone wishing to participate, may bring items to the high school at the South Campus Building, 900 Ellis Blvd. For additional information, as to the sizes of the parents and the two small children, please contact the school office at 681-5491.

Partners in Education

The Jefferson City Area Chamber of Commerce has arranged for The Sylvan Center and Castleparke Assisted Living Center to be Calvary Lutheran High School’s first Partners in Education. We are very appreciative to the Chamber for this opportunity. We are looking forward to working with both of our partners. As a famous person once said, “This is a giant step for mankind.”

Christmas Concert at Calvary

Posted on @ 9:31 am - Filed under: Calvary News

On Tuesday, December 12, Calvary Lutheran High School will be hosting their second Christmas Concert. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. at the high school, located at the South Campus Building, 900 Ellis Blvd. There will be a Cookie and Punch reception immediately following the performance. This will give Calvary families a chance to hear the beautiful voices of the 16 students singing in the choir as well as other musical presentations. They may be small but they are mighty. Many thanks to Mrs. Ahlers for the job she is doing.
