Calvary Sponsored Dance
The Calvary sponsored school dance on Friday, March 30 was a good time had by all. Attending were 242 children from area elementary schools in grades 6th, 7th and 8th (Immaculate Conception, Trinity Lutheran, St. Peter, St. Joseph, St. Stanislaus, St. Martins, St. Francis Xavier, Immanuel Lutheran, Russellville, Thomas Jefferson Middle School). Macy Propst, sophomore at Calvary, was the student in charge and as usual she did a wonderful job. The D.J.’s for the evening were Ray and Jay of Colossal Sounds. We want to thank our chaperones, teachers and Jeff Hilke, member of the Cole County Sheriff’s Department for volunteering their time to be there. All we normally hear about are the bad “stuff” kids do. The kids, brace yourselves parents, were well behaved and very polite. This was my husband and I’s, first time as chaperones. We were not disappointed and were glad we had this opportunity.
