Choir Performs
The Calvary Lutheran High School Choir participated in the Festival of the Reformation which was held at Faith Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 28th. The Choir was part of a mass choir that opened the worship service with “Built on the Rock.” Calvary’s choir sang a choral response following the Gospel reading entitled, “Sing a New Song to the Lord”, written by Natalie Sleeth, directed by Melisa Ahlers.
Rev. Dr. James Kalthoff, President-emeritus of the Missouri District and former pastor at Faith, delivered a message based on Romans 3:19-28, entitled “The Heart of the Reformation”.
The service was filled with songs of praise and music which included brass, handbell music, a children’s choir, a mass choir, and Calvary’s choir. It was an honor for CLHS’s choir to participate in this worship service.
