Scheduled for Sunday, March 27 from 2-3 PM at Calvary Lutheran High School – don’t miss this! Families with students currently in 8th through 11th grade will benefit greatly by attending this forum designed to give you information. Whether they are undecided or already planning to major in a specific degree, come and learn how to help your student explore colleges, apply for scholarships and get ready for their next step after high school. Karen Miller, parent of Senior Joe Miller will share what she has learned with additional insight from Denise Crider and Jonathan Kueck.
The Calvary Lutheran High School Booster Club has begun collecting recipes for the first-ever CLHS cookbook. For this venture to be successful, we are asking all friends of Calvary to submit their favorite recipes. Click on the link to the Recipe Collection Sheet, fill it out and return to us by 3/1/11 as indicated. If you have questions, please contact Shirley Bernskoetter @ 634-2157 or Shirleyb777@gmail.com.
Here is the form that has been designed for this project: Calvary Cookbook Form
For a school to best serve its students and families, it is important to gather their feedback, understand their perspective and consider how to make changes to improve the school. Please go to the following website and take time to fill out the survey between February 15th and March 15th.
Thank you for taking time and sharing with us. These results will assist us as we set goals and move toward the future.
Parents who are available, please join together in the board room to pray for Calvary Lutheran High School each Wednesday at 3:10 beginning this Wednesday, January 11. This will take 5 – 10 minutes. We will lift up our school, students, staff and families to Him who loves us beyond measure. “Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5: 16 – 18
Join Calvary Lutheran High School for a fun-filled night of theatre. We will perform at Martin Luther King Hall Friday, October 29 at 7:00pm and Saturday, October 30 at 2:00pm. “The Suessification of Romeo and Juliet” is a whimsical reinvention of Shakespeare’s tragic love story, complete with rhymed couplets, creative wordplay, and fantastical machines – similar to something Dr. Suess might have come up with if he had his way with the script. Come enjoy an evening of family friendly entertainment with a Christ-centered school. Tickets will be sold at the door: $5 for adults and $2 for students.
Many thanks to Sheri Barnes who has been diligent in getting pictures of the action happening on Calvary’s permanent facility. At her website you can see pictures of the Ground Breaking day as well as the construction work that has taken place since then.
Please share this link and the password with everyone and keep this process in your daily prayers.
Sheri Barnes has updated the website with new pictures and news of what is going on at the site. She will continue taking pictures and updating information as construction continues to document this event. Please regularly check out her website and share it with others.

The sixth annual Calvary Lutheran High School Golf Tournament is in the planning stages. Due to your generosity, last year’s tournament raised over $16,750. These funds provided Calvary students with much needed financial assistance. During the 2009-10 school year, tuition assistance totaling over $40,000 was awarded to approximately 60% of our families. You can see by these figures how important Calvary’s golf tournament and private donations are to our families. We thank God for your support, and look forward to a great tournament.
Thank you for your interest and support in this Golf Tournament. For your convenience we have attached the official flier here.
