Calvary Lutheran High School has been conducting out-of-school activities, such as cleaning around buildings such as M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), and the "Friendship House", a hospice in Jefferson City. This page will let you know what Calvary has been doing in and around our community. Some of our service projects we actually have pictures for, so if you see a link, click it and check out some pictures!
CLHS's services extended to the Mothers Against Drunk Driving building! We went around the building raking leaves, sweeping the ground, taking down spider webs, and playing in giant leaf piles. Here are some of the pictures from this trip.
Calvary has reached out again, this time to the "Friendship House," a hospice in Jefferson City! Students were given snacks after they cleaned up around the building, picking up trash, sweeping, cleaning windows, and tidying up the hospice. We have a few pictures here.
Previously, CLHS visited the Heisinger Nursing Home for the first time during Calvary's first year. This year, Calvary was able to return for a second chapel service. Students involved were able to pass out papers and hymnals, sing with residents, and share a message from Pastor Golden. Every one of the residents of the nursing home really enjoyed our service.
After school, Calvary has gone to help Trinity Lutheran students after school hours with some tutoring. A few of the Calvary students talked with the Trinity students and helped them with their homework in subjects such as basic math and handwriting skills etc.
Calvary has been going with Tannerbridge Home For The Mentally Challenged to go bowling on specific days. We have been meeting at the West Gate Lanes and assisted and played with fellow bowlers from Tannerbridge.
Calvary Lutheran High School has received donations for a student's extended family member whose home recently burned down. They lost all of their possessions, clothing, and all food in their home.
