Art Class at Calvary

My high school has been blessed with a number of wonderful artists with a diversity of style and talent. In this site you will see some of their best pieces, as well as the significance behind them. Enjoy!

Here are some of our fabulouse little works that were created before we started anything really big.

Nature Art

Our goal was to create a piece of art that gave off a particular emotion or feeling. Not so hard, right? Well, there was a catch. This piece of art had to be made up entirely of natural objects that we found outside in the vacant lot behind our school building. Some had more trouble than others, especially because it was the end of summer and everything was dead and dry, but everybody had a great time.

Our First Big Project

About three weeks into the school year, our art teacher Mrs. Luther introduced to us the idea of doing a project based on the artistic style of a particular culture. We could model our project as either a Greek vase, an Egyption sarcofogus, or a Chinese scroll. After weeks and weeks of hard work, the final results were stunning.
