Calvary Leadership Projects
During the past year Calvary Lutheran High School students have participated in many various activities in helping out the community. We have been very active in community service projects and also helping with funraising for Calvary's new school!
Trinity Daycare
Calvary Students go and help the Trinity Daycare. While at the the daycare the students played with the children.
Tutoring
Students from Calvary go over to Trinity and help them with their homework.
Castleparke
During leadership class Mrs. Crider took a class over to Castleparke retirement center to write biographies for the elderly. The Leadership class made gordes for Castlepark. James and his class painted them, giving them our own personal touch.
Calvary Basketball Service
In the begining of the school year many of the students helped at Trinity during a basketball camp.
Trinity
Calvary students went over to Trinity to help serve lunch. We had a great time doing this because all the younger children were excited that we were there with them.
Spring Fling Decoration
Calvary Students help with the decoration and set up for the Calvary Spring Fling dinner, dance, and auction.
English as a Second Language
Every Tuesday and Thursday, three students head over to the Performing Arts Center to help out with English as a Second Language. These students are Kelsey, Sara and Chase. They have put in many hours and worked very hard with foreigners needing help with their English skills to help teach and tutor them with the English language.
Tractor Pull
Lance headed Calvary's first ever truck and tractor pull. He along with Kelsey put in very long hours working on this project. Lance, with a load of help, planned the whole event and it went over great. Lance and his crew are already gearing up and making preparations for next year!
Calvary Students
This year at Calvary we did many things in Leadership/Service class. We worked at doing many different community service projects and helped with setting up for funraisers. It feels good to know that we were able to help out our community with the different projects that we did. We enjoyed all the projects students planned.
