Calvary has had the great pleasure of introducing a new writing class this year. The participants of this class have as well enjoyed being able to attend this class. In addition to this writing is also a very constructive class. It can help to enduce skills and provoke creativity you thought you might have never had. We all know we could use our imagination a little more frequently than what is currently being used, and writing could be the perfect solution to this problem.

What we're about

Mr. Deardoff is the head of the writing class. He has created many assignments and made the class a fun experience. Writing is quite possibly one of the best classes offered by Calvary Lutheran High School. It is deffinatly a class you should consider joining. Even if your not a big fan of writing, Mr Deardoff can help create a fun experience of the class. He makes class seem like a breeze to go through, and those lesser fans of writing can easily enjoy what we do in writing.

Recent Work

Our class has been working on updating the Calvary site on the web by creating paragraphs called "Blurbs." We have also been working on yearbook quotes and updates. Including these assignments, our class has also created plenty random writings all to help improve our process of thinking creativly

Major Projects

In our writing class we have done few big projects, but some have consisted of essays, short stories, and even poems. These projects are well thought out and take time. but the end result can leave you flabbergasted. Along with these works, we have also worked together to create a story. Each person in class helped to create a certain line of events in the story line beginning with an introduction leading all the way up to the denoument. (or more commenly known as resolution)
